He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Helmer and Karen Helmer (Anderson); and his niece Brittney Knutson. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Kaiser; his children, Alen Helmer (Morghen Mitchell) of Maple Grove, Spencer Helmer of Morton and Regan Helmer of Olivia; his former wife Dawn Helmer of Olivia; and his sisters, Stacey Helmer (Jeff Ousky) of Belview and Sarah Pauley (Darin) of Lakeville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
