He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Baumgartner; his daughter Theresa Buesgens; his grandson Jaime Francisco Garcia III; his stepgranddaughter Remington Harder; and his siblings, Shirley Baumgartner, Bill Ingalls and Jeffrey Baumgartner.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Latzke (Michael), Fred Baumgartner (Nichole) and Michell Harder (Mark); and his son-in-law Shawn Buesgens. He is also survived by five brothers and seven sisters; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
