He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Brettin and Rosella Brettin (Foss); and his siblings, Mary Moryn, Sherry Wold and Bob Brettin.
He is survived by: his children, Rachael Landon and Dylan Brettin; and his siblings, Barbara Steffel (Bill), Carolyn Wirth (Howie) and Tom Brettin. He is also survived by his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
