He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Sandeen and Mary Sandeen (Stensvik); his son Greg; his brother Lowell (Jean); his son Dale; and his stepgreat-grandson Blake.
He is survived by: his former wife Eleanor Brinkman; his son Darrell of Oklee; his wife Betty Vad Hanson of Oklee; his daughter Angela Sandeen Huber of Owatonna, MN; his stepchildren, Anita Vettleson (Mark) of Brooks, MN, Kimberly Pickett of Oklee and Robert Hanson (Rochelle) of Valley Springs, SD; his grandchildren, Brianna, Kayla, Gunnar, Tasha and Tristan; his stepgrandchildren, Derick, Erika, Lindsay, Nickolas, Andrew, Sydnie, Caitlyn and Gabriella; and his great grandchildren, Ellie Mae, Kori, Nora, Graig, Riley, Avery, Kaiza, Paxley, Krimzen, Brooklyn, Regan, Crew, Brody, Sophia, Keaden and Emmitt.
