He was predeceased by: his parents, Selmer Swenson and Synneva Swenson; his siblings, Silas Swenson and Lavina Swenson; and his grandson Brian Carlson.
He is survived by: his wife Bergit Jellum; his brother Ray Swenson (Barb); his sister-in-law Polly Swenson; and his children, Karen Carlson (Doug), Curt Swenson (Caroline), Tim Swenson (Donna), Don Swenson (Cheri) and Sherry Dake (Larry). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
