She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred Spear and Helen Spear (Ball); and her siblings, Billy, Katherine and David.
She is survived by : her husband Gary McConnell; her children, Scott McConnell (Tara) of Belle Plaine, Jeremy McConnell of Belle Plaine, Matthew McConnell (Amber) of Belle Plaine and Boo "Becky" Stier (Jethro) of Belle Plaine; and her brother Freddie Spear (Karen) of New Prague. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter.
