He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Rakow and Alma Rakow (Herrmann); his siblings, Eldon Rakow, Donald Rakow and Leona Shelton; and his son-in-law Chuck Loula.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Wellnitz of Odessa, MN; his children, Charlene Loula of Chisago, MN, Jollene Bartholow (Craig) of New Hope, MN, Robert Rakow (Sally) of Odessa, MN and Wayne Rakow (Jenny) of Finlayson, MN; his grandchildren, Chad Loula, Paul Loula, Ryan Bartholow, Marissa Ibara, Ethan Rakow, Aidan Rakow, Jason Floren, Kelsey Muske and Ashley Rakow; and his brother Raymond Rakow of Tucson, AZ.
