He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Holstad and Alice Holstad (Brunsvold); his wife Jeanne Holstad; and his siblings, Marlin, Stanley Holstad and Ardis Bang.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Skaro (Brad) and Susan Bybee (Steven); his granddaughters, Elizabeth and Ashley Bybee; and his siblings, Gwen Brown (Lee), Eldren Holstad (Janelle) and Richard Holstad. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home (1415 State Hwy 13, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Graceland Cemetery (1800 W Main St, Albert Lea, MN 56007).
Memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society, St. Croix Hospice, or the Veteran's organization of choice.
