It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn E. Brissett-Kruger of Oak Park Heights, Minnesota, born in Waukon, Iowa, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie McCormick and Bernice McCormick (Ryan); her husband Bob Brissett; her stepson André Brissett (Mary Jo Koszarek); and her siblings, Bill, Jim McCormick, Peggy Dempsey and Marita Howes.
She is survived by: her former husband Al Kruger; her son Cormac Brissett; and her siblings, Jack McCormick and Anne McCormick.
In 1983, Marilyn and Bob accepted an offer to work on the development of the first chemical dependency treatment center in Ireland modeled on the Alcoholics Anonymous 12-step program that was the foundation of Hazelden.
