She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bernard Demark and Margaret Hart Van Demark of Owatonna; her husband Donald J. Isaak; her brother Mike Van Demark; her daughter Katie Isaak Ginsberg; her son-in-law Peter Ginsberg of New York; her daughter Meg Isaak; her son-in-law Matteo Custodero of Italy; her sister Sarah Flanagan; her brother-in-law Don Flanagan; her brothers, Tom Van Demark and James Van Demark (JB); her sisters-in-law, Amy Blum and Georgia Van Demark; and her grandchildren, William (Maddy Ginsberg), Maeve Ginsberg and Gregory Ginsberg. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Her joie de vivre masked both pain and disruption as she played for friends and neighbors gathered beneath her balcony during the pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Northwestern University Thaviu-Isaak Piano Scholarship or St. Catherine University, St. Paul, Minnesota.
