Lynn M. Schaefer Obituary

Lynn M. Schaefer, age 64, of Norwood Young America passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home (141 E 1st St) in Waconia with Father James Devorak as officiant. Visitation held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.

Lynn Marie (LaForte) Schaefer was born November 4, 1957 in St. Paul, MN the daughter of Myron and Eleanore (Strom) LaForte. On October 9, 1982, Lynn was united in marriage to Jeffrey Schaefer at St. Patrick's Church in Inver Grove Heights, where they met.

Lynn's greatest treasure was her family. They were first and the most important. Time spent with them brought her immense joy. She was extremely fortunate to spend the last several years surrounded by her grandchildren and creating lasting memories. Lynn delighted in coloring, doing art projects and playing cards and board games with them. She will be dearly missed.

Lynn was preceded in death by her mother Eleanore LaForte; mother-in-law Lucille Schaefer; father-in-law Alfred Schaefer; brother-in-law Gerald Gagner; as well as many of her aunts and uncles whom she loved dearly.

Lynn is survived by her loving family: husband of 39 years Jeff; daughter Kathy (Ben) Timlin; son Michael Schaefer; granddaughters Isabelle, Lucy, Amelia, Ellie, Penelope; father Myron LaForte; sister Debbie Gagner; brothers Joe (Randy) LaForte, Steve LaForte; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Debbie (Roger) Malz; many, greatly-loved, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
