He was predeceased by: his parents, John Young and Gladys Young (Larson); his wife Carolyn Young; his son David Young; and his siblings, John Young, Jeanette Nelson and Irene Furchner.
He is survived by: his children, Randee Petterson (David) of Texas, Cary Young of St. Paul, Mark Young (Missy) of Chaska, Dan Young (Ann) of Hamburg and Paul Young of Nebraska; his grandchildren, Luke Petterson (Missy), Justin Petterson (Danielle), Alex Petterson (Abby), Matthew Young (Kathleen), Brian Young (Sara), Jesse, Shawn Young (Jane), Michael Young (Rachel), Brett Young (Andrea), Stephanie Young, Timothy Young, Paul Young, Christen Colwell (Derek) and Ryan; his siblings, Lowell Young (Judy), Rick Beckman, Roseanne Powers and Victoria Golden; and his siblings-in-law, Dr. Keith Eldred, Maxine Place, Gwen Wiebusch and Betty Young. He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
