He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Vandermoon and Alice Vandermoon; his grandson Eric Fisch; and his siblings-in-law, Roman Zanter, Donna Ackerman and Joell Metcalf.

He is survived by: his wife Leone Vandermoon of Northrop, MN; and his children, Harry Vandermoon of Winnebago, MN, Jonel Leiding (Richard) of Monticello, MN, Dean Vandermoon of Rogers, AR and Darla Vandermoon of Fairmont, MN. He is also survived by four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; as well as many other extended family and friends.
