She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Ellingson (Fretheim) and Darwin Ellingson. She is survived by: her husband Orlin Mandsager; her sisters, Diane Grimstad (Larry) and Roxann Steine; her daughters, Jennifer Lembezeder (John), Beth Wahlberg (Tom), Amy Bruening and Anne-Alise Muir (Seth); her stepchildren, Kris Mandsager (Neeta), Mike Mandsager (April), Naomi Mandsager (Chuck Bartley) and Elizabeth Mandsager; her grandchildren, Jacob Lembezeder (Kelsie), Molly Ludwig (Derick), Nick Lembezeder, Anders Wahlberg, Annika Wahlberg, Michael Bruening, Katherine Bruening, Rebecca Bruening, Sophie Muir, Isabella Muir, Liam Muir, Finn Muir, Nathan Mandsager, Julia Komatsu (Tim), Erik Mandsager, Jacob Mandsager, Noah Mandsager, Lars Bartley and Aiden Mandsager; her great grandchildren, Maya Komatsu and Ludwig; and her sisters-in-law, Orpha Erdahl and Ruth Hembre. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church (604 W Broadway St, Decorah, IA 52101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials go to the Alzheimer's Association or Luther College.
