He was predeceased by: his parents, John Denis Varley and Mary Catherine Varley (Heffernan); his parents-in-law, Roy Willer and Evelyn Willer (Piper); his siblings, Mary Catherine and John Varley; and his sister-in-law Denise Varley (Donkers).
He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Willer; his sons, Stephen (Stephanie) of Gem Lake, David (Amanda) of Mendota Heights and Daniel (Ashleigh) of Minneapolis; his grandchildren, Hannah, Conor, Skip, Emma, Maya, Griffin, Ellen, Adele, Owen and Declan; his brothers, Dr. James (Perha) of Tallahassee, Joseph of Faribault and Leo (Molly) of St. Paul; and his sister-in-law Mary Varley of Faribault.
Masks and social distancing are required and seating will be limited.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorials be directed to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
