Sandra Johnson Valek Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra Johnson Valek of Northfield, Minnesota, who passed away on April 22, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Johnson and Carol Johnson (Sorensen); her son Scott; her brother Harlan Johnson; and her nephew Tyrone Johnson.
She is survived by: her former husband Bob Valek; her children, Corinne Duncan (Brian) of Lonsdale and Rick Valek (Jennifer) of Nerstrand; her grandchildren, Debra Heaton (Brad), Isaiah Duncan (Jena), Sarah Duncan, Derek Valek (Tawnie) and Raymond Valek; her great grandchildren, Ameliana, Makayla, Aubree, Mackenzie, Kaleb, Mindie, Cohen, Thea and Waylon; her sisters, Bev Hussey (Dick) of Northfield, Barb Lentsch (Al) of Lilydale, Bonnie Pavek (Don) of Northfield, Roxanne Simon (Dick) of Northfield, Deb Simon (Dale) of New Prague and Kim Smisek (Rod) of Lonsdale; and her sister-in-law Sherrie Johnson of Wisconsin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many many friends.
She was a founding member of the Trondhjem Community Preservation Society and was excited to attend the first in person meeting (since Covid) on the day of her passing.
In lieu of flowers, gifts preferred to Trondhjem Lutheran Church, the Trondhjem Cemetery Association, or Historic Trondhjem Church (TCPS).
