He is survived by: his wife Sigrid Johnson (Nelson); his sons, Peter Johnson and Andrew Johnson (Sarah); his grandsons, Soren Meilan and Halvor Clifford; and his sister Karen Elizabeth Johnson of Maple Grove, Minnesota..
