He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto W. Reitz and Helene Reitz (Wittrock); and his siblings, Elisabeth, Gerhard, Robert, Armin, Theodore and Marcus.
He is survived by: his siblings, Marie, Rosaline, Joseph and Karl; his wife LaVerne D. Lawrence; his sons, David, Vernon, Alan (Heidi) and Lowell; his grandchildren, Jacob, Michael, Lucas, Drew, Lucy, Juliana, Hannah, Clara and Jessa; and his great grandchildren, Annika and Hendrik. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, St. John's Lutheran Church music fund or Nature Conservancy.
