Orrin W. DeLong Obituary

The memory of Orrin W. DeLong of Northfield, Minnesota, who passed away on February 26, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrin Sr. DeLong and Luella R. DeLong (Thueson); his wife Jean; his grandson Eric Celander; his great grandchild Mason FollansbeeDelong; and his sister Joyce Steinhauer.

He is survived by: his children, Skip (Lois Koester), Vicki Celander, David and Darla; his grandchildren, Hardy DeLong (Samantha), Laura Cruz, Leah Garces, DJ Garwood-Delong, Austin FollansbeeDelong (Rebecca), Pierce FollansbeeDelong (Haley) and Sawyer FollansbeeDelong (Rachel); and his siblings, Kent (Bonnie) of Waseca and Audrey Benjamin of Mankato. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM and from 10:00 PM to 10:45 PM at the Northfield United Methodist Church (1401 Maple St, Northfield, MN 55057). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
