It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merlin Bauer of Northfield, Minnesota, born in Faribault, Minnesota, who passed away on June 26, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bauer and Nora Bauer (Helberg); his grandson Scott Klyve; his great grandchild Jamie Allen; and his siblings, Hilda Melchert, Aneda Gerzevske, Ruth Neubert, Flora Bosshardt, Edith Grimes, Grace Covert, Arnold, Obert, Roger and Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kielmeyer; his daughters, Shary Klyve (Paul) of Waseca, Shelli Allen (Kevin) of Mankato and Shanna Swenson (Greg) of Eagan; his grandchildren, Katie Klyve (David Rahn), Brianna Klyve, Becki Allen (Chris Kozel), Jared Allen (Ashley), Isaac Swenson and Mason Swenson (Lauren); his great grandchildren, Rhett, Lincoln, Theoden Allen and Oliver Kozel; and his sister-in-law Lois Bauer of Nerstrand. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
