He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Cakebread and Nora Cakebread (Stengel); his wife Ordis; his son-in-law Michael Burrow; and his siblings, Calvin, Iva, Opal and Irene.

He is survived by: his daughter Connie Burrow of Dundas; his grandchildren, Heidi Banks of Northfield, Jenny Burrow of Northfield and Sam (Nikki) of Geneva; and his great grandchildren, Phoebe, Sunny, Peter and Elizabeth.
