Lois Rand Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 24, 2022, at the age of 96, Lois Rand (Northfield, Minnesota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Schiager and Emelie Brendsel Schiager; her former husband Walter Ekeren; her spouse Sidney Rand; her siblings, Keith Schiager and Ruth Egger; and her stepson Peter Rand.
She is survived by: her brother Sheldon Schiager (Jean); her children, Sarah Buck (J. Ben) and Mark Ekeren (Joan); her stepdaughter-in-law Nancy Rand; her stepdaughter Mary Taylor (Ron); and her grandchildren, David Boosinger, Bryce Ekeren, Jessica Bastyr (Andrew), Jennifer Mick (Jason), Charity Spencer, Amy Rand (Scott Pryor), Dorothy Rand (Corey Mollet), Luke Williams (Jill) and Leah Williams. She is also survived by extended family that includes many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Olaf College for the Rand family scholarship, Northfield Retirement Community Foundation for the spiritual care fund, St. John's Lutheran Church, Northfield, MN or to Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN.
