He is survived by: his parents, Gordon Richards and Barbara Richards (Cullen) of Cannon Falls; his sister Christy Whipple (Wade) of Dennison; his nieces, Katie White (Philip), Dawn Whipple and Jill Whipple; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sean Whipple, Madalyn Banks, Delilah Fredrickson and Oliver White; and his close friend Arnold Leas of Brooklyn Center. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Kevin's name to the Humane Society.
