He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eugene and Edith May George (Johnson). He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Julianna Camareno (Marvin) of Northfield, MN, Annalisa Buerke (Mike) of Fridley, MN, Rebecca Burrs (Mark) of Vadnais Heights, MN, David George (Jenn) of Baldwin, WI and Katie Stime (Brett) of Northfield, MN; his grandchildren, Oren, Ivy Buerke, Eowyn Camareno, Annabelle, Michiah, Arianna, Arielle, Annesley, Alyse George, Ezri, Austin, Ephraim Stime, Aiden and Hayden Bandy; his stepgrandsons, Mark, Josh (Jennifer), Jonathan and Michael Burrs; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Izzy and David; and his brother Melvin George (Judy) of Lockridge, IA. He is also survived by other family members; and friends.
