He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert C. Petersen and Mabel Petersen (Sorenson); and his grandson Dane Underdahl (Shirley). He is survived by: his spouse Shirley (Gillispie); his children, Loren (Lori Koester) of Dundas, Pamela Petersen (David Underdahl) of Dundas, Terry (Deb Pflaum) of Northfield, Douglas (Joann) of Paynesville, Marilyn Petersen (Dan Schroeder) of Northfield, David (Amy) of St. Cloud and Becky Mellgren (Marc) of Northfield; his grandchildren, Anna Greve (Andy), Cassondra Anderson, Tamara Sirek (Jamey), Chad Johnson, Brent Petersen, Riley Petersen, Christian Petersen, Jenny, Alex Flom, Rachel Kjera (Nick), Caleb, Amanda Petersen, Chloe, Spencer and Tegan Mellgren; and his sisters, Geraldine Jasan and Arlene Grover (Neil). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
