It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Henrietta Ersland Nelson of Northfield, Minnesota, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on November 23, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Hillestad and Anna Hillestad; her husband Maynard Nelson; and her siblings, Julie, Mildred, Jean and Jim.
She is survived by: her son Fritz of Minneapolis; her daughter-in-law Mina Fisher; her grandson Alex; her great grandchild Christina; and her sister-in-law Sonja Hillestad. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Memorials may be given to Saint Olaf College; Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Houston, Minnesota; or the Minnesota Orchestra.
