He was predeceased by: his parents, Gunner Knutson and Gertrude Knutson (Thorsheim); his wife Gloria Mortensen; and his siblings, Kent, Anne Kanten and Mildred Knutson.
He is survived by: his children, Lori of Eden Prairie, MN, Steven (Nancy) of Plymouth, MN and Paul (Debbie) of Beldenville, WI; his grandchildren, Kaleb Spieker (Lindsey Radle), Kristine Dixon (Nathan) and Jon Robert Knutson (Becca Erickson); his stepgrandchildren, Melissa, Jessica and Joseph Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Kaydence Larkins-Speiker, Kiya Spieker and Zoey Dixon. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church and St. Olaf College.
