He was predeceased by: his parents, William Zimmerman and Julia Zimmerman (Sandvik); and his siblings, Margaret Baldwin, Marcella "Sally" Ersfield, DuWayne, Delmar and Lavern Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his wife Diane C. Lehmann; his children, Cindy Austin of St. Croix Falls, WI, Christine Rasmussen (James) of Nerstrand, Paula Austin of Nerstrand, Scott (Dana) of Clayton, WI and Allen of Faribault; his sister Doris Ellingboe of Northfield; and his grandsons, Zachary Jason Austin, Cody Allen Austin, Allen Robert Zimmerman Jr. and Scotty Allen Zimmerman Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
