He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Henning and Helen Henning (Helwig); and his sister Inez Brendmoen. He is survived by: his wife Jane Gambucci; his stepsons, James Gambucci of St. Paul and Mark Gambucci (Robyn) of Farmington; his stepgrandchildren, Sophia, Nathan, Andrew and Emily; and his sisters, Caroline Dokter (Tom) of Anderson, CA, Beverly Lardy (David) of Minneapolis, Letha Lewandowski (Dennis) of Webster, SD and Susan Holman (Tom) of Arizona. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Memorials are preferred to the Ronald McDonald House or the Northfield VFW.
