She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Christensen and Nora Christensen; her brothers, Virgil Christensen (Orla), LaVerne Christensen and Marlin Christensen; and her brothers-in-law, Elmer Kuyper and George Kubista.

She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Hanson (David), Ame Wiger (Marcelyn), James Calverley (Amy) and Mark Calverley (Dawn); her stepchildren, Steve Leiser (Jennifer), Colleen Brudvig (Gary), Mark Leiser (Josephine) and Christine Hills (Randy); and her sister Lucille Kubista of Waseca. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
