She was predeceased by: her parents, Olin Cox and Velma Cox of Rockford, Minnesota.; and her half-siblings, Bonnie and Leland Gerald. She is survived by: her sister Janice of Northfield; her nieces, Ayesha of Apple Valley and Ginger of Yakima; her nephew Wayne of Chaska, Minnesota; and her great-nieces, Afia and Amani.
