Carol Ann Hafemeyer Obituary

Carol A. Hafemeyer, age 93 of Northfield, died on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Three Links Care Center, Northfield.

Funeral services will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, Wheeling Township-rural Nerstrand, on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Gary Liker officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

Visitation will be at the church for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

Carol Ann, the daughter of Edward and Lydia (Spitzack) Meschke, was born September 17, 1931 in Faribault. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1949. Carol married Luverne Hafemeyer at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Morristown on April 14, 1950. Together they farmed near Nerstrand until moving to Northfield in 1989. Carol earned her LPN degree in 1981 and was employed with the Northfield Hospital for over 20 years. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and enjoyed league bowling, golf and playing the piano and organ.

She is survived by four children, Judy of Grand Forks, ND, Larry (special friend, Cathy Sheffer) of rural Nerstrand, Gary (Cindy) of Spooner, WI, and Terry (Carol) of Faribault; 11 grandchildren, Jeff (Beth Peter) Johnson, Todd (Katie) Johnson, Jill (Brice) Hansen, Eric (Jessica) Hafemeyer, Amy (Elizabeth Aldred) Hafemeyer, Eddie (Amy) Hafemeyer, Joey (Diana) Hafemeyer, Heidi (Jeff) Delesha, Carissa (Mike) Muehlenbein, Tim (Laura) Hafemeyer, and Holly (Marcus) Heemstra; 19 great-grandchildren; sister in law, Lois Bauer of Faribault.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vern and brother, Clifford (Marilyn) Meschke.
