He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Winkels and Sarah Winkels (Silvernagel); his wife Rose Koehler; his granddaughter Suzanne Kaderlik; his great grandchild Owen Kampbell; his son-in-law Denny Rother; and his siblings, Frances Ladermann, Adam, Irene Buethler, Lawrence, Sylvester, Pauline Riepe, George, Leonard, Margaret Ungari, Agatha, Theresa, Kern, Matthew, Leo, Joe, Loretta and Tom.
He is survived by: his children, Michael of Oak Park, Ill, Marie (Ted Kampbell) of Apple Valley, Steve (Diane) of Faribault and Julie Rother (Rocky Ulstad) of Stacy; and his grandchildren, Chris Bothun (Andy), Ruth Wilhelm (Dan), Josh Kampbell (Allison), Suzy Kaderlik (Chad), Sarah Kampbell (Greg Schwartz) and Ryan Winkels (Sarah). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; other family members; and friends.
