He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Lawrence Stumme and Esther Stumme (Englestad); his siblings, Luther Stumme, Lois Woodhouse, Kathryn Tutton and Naomi Orsay; and his son Andrew Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Alden; his children, Mary Froiland (John), Ann Ashton-Piper (Ken), John Stumme (Kyle Hanson), Peter Stumme (Thalia Novak) and Sarah Stumme Carter (Duane Carter); his grandchildren, Andrew Froiland, David Froiland, Amy Froiland-Parada (Carlos Parada), Leuallem Solomon (Gyuri Papp), Amani Stumme-Berry (Mara Stommes), Jonathan Ashton-Piper, Nathanael Ashton-Piper, Eloise Ashton-Piper, Jacob Stumme (Kristen), Peter Stumme, Gabriel Stumme, Jace Stumme-Hanson, Henry Stumme-Hanson, Michael Stumme, Pierce Novak, Austyn Novak-Stumme (Theresa Glasgow), Duane Carter Jr. (Mariah) and Donovan Carter; his great grandchildren, Sienna, Sydnie, Skylar Stumme, Isaac, Elsa Froiland-Parada, Duane III (Tre), Jovanni, Raylene, Marliana Carter and Viola Beata Solomon-Papp; and his siblings, Larry Stumme (Eleanor), John Stumme (Sandra) and Carolyn Riswold (Ken). He is also survived by Many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
This service will also honor Carol, since a public service was not possible at the time of her death due to pandemic restrictions.
