He was predeceased by: his wife Allegra. He is survived by: his children, Virginia Fenrick (Charles) of Maplewood, MN, Gregory Nelson (Janet) of Minneapolis, MN, Michael Nelson (Janet) of Coppell, TX and Clayton Nelson (Susan) of Madison, WI; and his grandchildren, Emily Nelson, Mallory Nelson-Rehder (Erik), Caleb Nelson, Liam Nelson, Sean Nelson and Alex Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to World Vision-Clean Water or Lions Gift of Sight.
