He was predeceased by: his wife Karen; his parents, Russell Gear and Grace Gear; and his siblings, Jim and Marion.
He is survived by: his children, Kay (Lynn), Christy (Steve) and Peder (Meredith); his grandchildren, Henry, Russell, Ted, Andrew, Sara and Wesley; and his sisters-in-law, Mary (Pat) and Kathy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
