He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Margaret; and his brother Mike. He is survived by: his wife Ione; his children, Margaret Rice (Donald), Greg (Diane), Patrick (Laura) and Duane (Joan); and his brother Donald. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Disabled Veterans.
