He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Tipler and Lucille Tipler; and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Merrily Karel (John), Susan Hitchcock (Edward) and Steven Tipler; and his grandchildren, Edward Jr. (Sydney), Robert, Samuel, Clare, Joseph, Zachary and Benjamin.
