He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Douglass and Ruth Douglass; his brothers, Robert and Daniel; and his son Phillip.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Rice; his daughters, Hilary Sonstegard (Nathan), Heidi Carlson (Jey), Heather Douglass and Holly VanderHyde; his grandchildren, Phillip, Madilynn, Caroline, Emma, Bjorn, Elise, Alexander and Ingrid; and his siblings, Susan Sandstrom (Martin), Wylie (Ardyth) and David (Susan). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be given to Minnehaha Academy, Salem Covenant Church or Rein in Sarcoma.
