“Barbara was a friend of mine, through the choir at St George GOC. I saw her every Sunday, leading us in the chant as she played the organ. The last time I saw her, she gave me a length of Italian silk velvet, which I made into a scarf, and cherish still. She knew her music, and was fair and firm in her leading. Our choir at the time was a very nice little choir, with a good full sound, due in no small part to her insistence that we rehearse on a regular basis. I am so sorry she is gone.”
