He is survived by: his girlfriend Vickey Shamp; his children, Grady Heelan of North Mankato and Gretchen Schulz (Matthew) of Mankato; his grandchildren, Charlie and William Schulz; his former wife Vickey Heelan; and his siblings, Cynthia Heelan of St. Paul, Michael Heelan (Rebecca) of St. Paul and Jennifer Connolly (Denny) of North Mankato. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
