With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sidney Spangenberg of North Mankato, Minnesota, who passed away on January 30, 2022 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederich Spangenberg and Irene Spangenberg (Schultz); his former wife Elva Frank; and his children, Georgia Davidson and Duane Oftedahl.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Oftedahl; his children, Kay Ekenstedt (Dan), Alan Spangenberg (Mary), Dean Oftedahl (Ruth), Danny Oftedahl (Karen), Connie McCullough (Mike) and Laurie Abrahamson (Lynn); his children-in-law, Kathy Oftedahl and Roger Davidson; and his sister-in-law Darhleen Spangenberg. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
