He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bernardy and Theresa Bernardy; his grandson Scott Laughter; and his siblings, Don Bernardy, Ed Bernardy, Herb Bernardy, Nick Bernardy, Lewis Bernardy and Lorraine Bernardy.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Meschke; his sons, Ken Laughter (Wendy), Edward Laughter (Lisa), David Laughter and William Bernardy; and his siblings, LaVern Bernardy, LaVonne Theil and Doloris Meutzel. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
