It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karl Anthony Matz of North Mankato, Minnesota, who passed away on October 31, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard B. Matz and Rita Matz (Dunhom); and his siblings, Erick Matz (Linda Schneider) and Suzanna "Suzie" Matz. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Gruenstein of North Mankato, MN; his former wife Kathy Chalhoub (Tony Chalhoub) of St. Peter, MN; his children, Laura Hilgers (Robert Jay Hilgers) of Sabin, MN, Sarah Larson of Duluth, MN and Seth Anderson-Matz (Jennifer Anderson-Matz) of Minneapolis, MN; his stepson Shawn Neitzel (Casey Neitzel) of Mankato, MN; his grandchildren, Brodey Hilgers, Jadyn Hilgers, Ruth Larson, Arthur Larson and Harper Neitzel; and his siblings, Blaise Matz of Omaha, NE, Ivor Matz (Colleen Matz) of Minneapolis, MN and Gretchen Mayer (Doug Mayer) of Mansfield, SD. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and the many extended relatives.
