He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce; his daughter Ann; his brothers, Walter Jr. and Paul Jr.; and his sons-in-law, Jack Benedict and Randy Miller.
He is survived by: his significant other Diane Brennan; his children, Bob Vetter (Chris) of Lake Washington, Teresa Vetter of North Mankato, Donn Vetter (Lois) of Mankato, Mary Vetter Benedict of Lilydale and Ron Vetter (Cindy) of Lake Washington; and his brother Willard Vetter of Mankato.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Mayo Clinic Health Systems Palliative Care or donor's choice.
