He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lanz and Evelyn Lanz (Gosch); his grandson Jay Meixner-Lanz; and his siblings, Barbara Ann and Bernard Lanz.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Oelke; his children, Chad Lanz (April), Nicole Slechta (Steve) and Michele Lanz; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Eric, Taylor, Jolee, Owen, Addison, Olivia and Luke; his great grandchild Cody; and his siblings, Shirley Hanson, Harold Jr. and Steven Sr..
