He was predeceased by: his father Kurt Petersen. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Petersen (Kemerling); his wife Elizabeth Hunsberger; his son Andrew (Christina); his grandson Michael; his son Michael (Erin); his grandchildren, Hazel, Ivy and Jasper; and his siblings, Bruce (Karen), Mark, Kevin (Martha), Lyle, Daniel (Dawn), Brad (Amy), Kate Thomas (John) and Ellie Oldre (Bryce).
