With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Michels of North Mankato, Minnesota, who passed away on January 10, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald; her sister Hermine (Karl Pfenninger); and her siblings-in-law, Peter Bidowski, Glen Michels and Dorothy (Everett Nelson).

She is survived by: her daughters, Debra (Dave), Barbara (Paul) and Brenda (Phil); her siblings, Anna Bidowski and Alfred Vogel (Otti); and her sister-in-law Mary Michels. She is also survived by 2 granddaughters; and grandson-in-law.

Memorials preferred to Belgrade Avenue United Methodist Church of North Mankato.

“I am so saddened to hear this news! Betty volunteered in my classroom for many years at Hoover Elementary in North Mankato. ! She was an angel! She made us laugh and always said she would return the next time “if the good Lord was willin’ and the creek don’t rise!” She will be missed!
