He is survived by: his wife Shirley Samletzka; his children, Timothy (Cindy) of Hutchinson, Melissa of Brainerd, Jacob Walter (Cazzandra) of Ham Lake and Beth Kovarik (Jake) of North Branch; and his siblings, Delvan Walter of Wahpeton, N. D., Dan Walter (Mary) of Bemidji, John Walter (Theresa) of Doran, Don Walter (Marilyn) of Golden Valley, Elaine Beyer of Ottertail, Beverly Schaff (Jim) of Moorhead and Joanne Smith (Neil) of Aberdeen, S. D.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
