He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter "Gus" Olek and Evelyn "Toots" Olek; his siblings, Richard, Ronald, Roxine and Roberta; his wife Sharen; and his son Donald.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Olek and Laura Olek; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Krista, Kalli, Kyle Olek and Nicole Neubert; his great grandchildren, Samuel Olek, Timothy Klein and Allison Klein; his stepson Judd Olek; his stepgrandchildren, Aleasha Dullum and Chaise Ellingboe; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Aubrey, Callahan and Lakelynn Dullum.
